As a Collaborative Attorney, I work with people going through separation and divorce to resolve disputes respectfully, without going to court. We focus on solutions that provide a lasting agreement that considers the needs of the entire family.
The focus of responsibility for resolving difficulties is held between the parties and their attorneys rather than being allowed to shift to a third party. I am encouraged that when people are given the opportunity and security to take an active role in settling their cases, they are able to work on developing a plan that meets the needs and interests of the family.
Collaborative Law is the intelligent way to resolve disputes.
I have presented trainings in Collaborative Law to attorneys, financial advisers and mental health therapists.
My commitment to bringing positive change through the practice of Collaborative Law has also expanded to becoming a facilitator in the practice of Restorative Justice.
I am a member of the Board of the Collaborative Law Association of the Rochester Area. I also serve on the board of the M.K. Gandhi Institute for Nonviolence, Inc.
